Reeeally makes me question the political agenda to encourage/normalize gaining weight. Who is funding that? Interesting that China has better menopause experiences and attitudes considering they're one of the most polluted and industrialized countries in the world.
I have been WFPB for over 10 years. I didn’t have the typical menopause symptoms such as hot flashes, depression, palpitations etc. So I chose not to take HRT. I eat soy daily which probably helped. However, at 65 I learned I have osteoporosis for which I have started HRT. HRT is FDA approved for osteopenia and the prevention of osteoporosis. I wish I knew this earlier.
I tried hrt and it was awful. The oestrogen really affects your breasts fairly instantly making them lumpy and swollen. The progesterone really affected my blood making my veins raised. Im on the natural route now. I saw a naturopath who said hrt was dangerous and that the nhs says youre only meant to take it for three years anyway i think. I checked and its in the nice guidelines. Even on nhs website they list risks He said when you take it for years then stop its really bad for the body but if you take it for life its dangerous. Ive an open mind but im going the natural route. Maybe for some women hrt works however out of all my friends not one of thems beeb right on hrt. The mainstram media pushes this medicalised option yet in reality the petcentage of women taling them are fairly low. Every womans hornones are different so unless someones going to a bioidentical hormone specialist and getting your hormones abd bloods checked regulary id say you will have problems. When you put hormones in your body stops making them. Theres lots of healthy foods with plant oestogens to put in your body and adaptagen foods that will balance hormones. Its not so much you have low hormone of a particular hormone its the dance between the hormones at this time. Nhs has a one size fits all you only have to go on forums to see the hell women are going through with these. And in lockdown suddenly women couldnt access the hormones they were used to. With the way the worrlds gping you dont want to be reliant on big pharma for your health. Theres no word for menopause in japan. Look at their diet. Women need more plant baed food no alcohol smoking and junk food and to exercise more. If hrt works for people fair play. It never worked for me or any of my friends so then youre gonna take the natural route. I think a lot of women get steessed more about to taje hrt or not than menopause as the mainstrem media makes you think you must take it or youre doomed. Good luck everyone whatever route you take. Thanks for this video.
I appreciate much of this helpful information with the exception of yoga. Yoga is not just exercise. It is a form of religious worship. I would do regular exercise .
Thank you for this. I never believed the whole menopause is a disease BS and that we need to be medicated for life in order to thrive. It’s refreshing to see this. People like Mary Claire Haver are in bed with the pharmaceutical industry.
I would be interested to know how long these women lived to in the other countries you refer to and what their quality of life was, what other diseases did they suffer from. I think it's irresponsible to refer to a part of a study without fully analyzing it. How much protein did they consume, how much fat and what types, how much fibre, how did they prepare these foods? These are all really important questions. It is so annoying when people summarize things from a study without factoring everything else in, this is what starts false information and why everyone is confused about what to do and what to eat. Low fat diets have been pushed for ages how come we are still dying from diseases if it is so good. I think it's the type of fat that we consume, plus we are all different and have different genes, we can't do everything the same
Such a lovely talk! Thank you so much! Was researching a lot of information online and I thought it was so odd, how often menopause was called a disfunction. Just annoying! – The study with greek an mayan women was intersting to me. Would be lovely if you could link it somewhere? I am turning 40 and experience hot flushes and heat sensitivity and am wondering if other symptoms have been already perimenopausal the last few years, as I have been fully plant-based since I am 26. But to my surprise I couldn't find any study about that. Just heard somewhere years ago that vegans might go into menopause earlier. And the study you mentioned would be a proof of the less animal products the earlier the onset of menopause…
I am going through the menopause my symptoms are bad l have tried different things but were not for me is there any natural stuff l can take to help me thank you
I started drinking soy milk and NMN supplement since I experienced symptoms last October, hot flushes and burning sensations at night. Now it’s been 5 months my symptoms is resolved haven’t have any symptoms and my period s5ill regular.I’ll be 48 on November
I have found eating lightly cooked cabbage and other dark leady greens with every meal, raw carrots and stinging nettle tea made thick in the evening help with symptoms too.
If any ladies are having brain fog and feeling not in the present…Fenugreek tea helps tremendously!! You can lightly brown fenugreek seeds until they turn a golden brown (cook on low ) blend up and use 2 teaspoons a day in boiled water (wait until its warm) really does balance all 3 hormones .
What you need to understand is that women will keep producing estrogen.
It's not that women dont have estrogen but that there is a blockage stopping the absorption of Estrogen.
Now what you need to do to clear the blockage and allow estrogen to get to the cells is to take pure MSM crystals and pure Vitamin C such as acerola cherry powder or the purest kind that you can find.
What MSM and Vitamin C do is open up the blocked cells and direct Estrogen to the correct place for it to be absorbed by the body as it should be doing.
At the same time you should also be taking a pure form of Ashwagandha and Red Maca powder. Both play a role in the balance of hormones. So if you have too much estrogen or not enough they help to regulate the levels within your body.
This is why its beneficial to take these extra 2 supplements at the same time as the MSM and Vitamin C as all 4 will work together in regulating hormone balance.

Menopause Brain Book 😮

very interesting, thank you. BUT it is not true that there is no word for menopause in Japanese, in fact there are two: 閉経 and 更年期.

I think the high fat she is talking about is the high animal fat diet

We should not need PHARMACEUTICAL for menopausal
