Passion flower is often used for daytime anxiety relief, particularly for individuals whose anxiety manifests as racing thoughts. Oat, specifically the milky oat tops, is rich in vitamins and minerals, particularly B vitamins, which are beneficial for anxiety sufferers. It is considered nourishment for the nervous system and is highly recommended for over-reactive individuals. Lastly, lemon balm acts as a gentle mood lifter and can be enjoyed as a tea or essential oil.
To make a tea featuring these favorite nervines, start by combining equal parts of oat, chamomile, passion flower, lemon balm, and a slightly smaller amount of lavender. Fill a container with hot water, just below boiling point, and let the herbs steep for 5-10 minutes for a quick cup of tea, or overnight for a stronger medicinal infusion. Strain the tea and enjoy a cup immediately, storing the rest in the fridge for future use.

I had been using St. JOHNS wort thinking I'm depressed. Made me feel worst. Turns out I'm anxious and that causes me to get tired and confused it for depression.
I also found a little bit of caffeine makes me calm too first thing in the morning. But idk if that's because I was drinking a lot of caffeine (coffee and energy drinks ~400mg a day).
